Weight-lifting Tuesdays produces results. No other class makes a more visually obvious  impact… and it starting back up next week.

Muscular definition, shredding cellulite, surgically removing flab from the triceps, glutes, thighs for women, developing the delts and bis for men.

Only squats improve cardiovascular capacity so profoundly. And you can see that from the intensity of the recovery. If you want to make an exponential leap forward in your skating or riding, or reduce an oversize butt, nothing beats passing through the anaerobic threshold .

You don’t have to be athletic as this. Ian is doing his yogic magic Friday Night, the first class of the season.

Initially I was struck by the range and depth of Ian’s understanding of the various disciplines of yoga. He’s always surprising the initiated with something new, and takes the uninitiated on a fluid journey into a beautiful world.

And he has something you can’t teach. He creates an atmosphere with his presence and calming voice. And the genuine warmth, and kindness of his practice. You’re in capable hands.

Abs Class provides something of profound importance: a stable, strong, reliable back. We also do 3 sets of squats.

Coming back to something is what gives conditioning real depth. At the worst of times, you’re no so bad. And at the best, you’re pretty darn good…

These days I’m all about flax seeds in my smoothies. Always a green like mint, or arugula.  With maybe pineapple, watermelon, mango, and whatever else is in season. It’s truly the healthiest thing you can put in your body.
