What’s your New Year’s Resolution? Survival should be at the top of the list.
Start with getting rid of those extra pounds. Strengthening your heart, fixing your knees and lower back to maintain vital mobility. Improve your overall fitness.
Health is the only currency that really matters. All the wealth, all the real estate in the world, means nothing in comparison. And vanity itself is a beautiful thing if it motivates you to do the right thing.
No classes till this Saturday, the 31st. Come undo those extra pounds with the rest of us. Or email me for personal training and we’ll do it privately.
All of your latent weaknesses and foibles come to the fore. Weight-loss or gain, arthritic knee, plantar fasciitis, hemorrhoids, irritable bowl … whatever it is.
Finish the year with an honest effort. And during the break reflect on where you want to go with with your body. Take a fresh approach. Deal with the top priority head-on.
At Panacea Studio, we offer a selection of classes you won’t get anywhere else. Saturday Abs was popular from the start. Who isn’t somewhat concerned about the size of their gut?
Weight-lifting Tuesday is structured around 5 sets of squats done the proper way. And 5 sets of bench press for the upperbody. You won’t find a class like this anywhere.
Come linger with us… this Friday at Yogic Stretches. This is about moving slowly, lowering the heart rate, and luxuriating in long lingering stretches that just plan feel-good. And expanding your limits.
Yogic Stretches slows movement to a crawl, and holds poses longer. For 3 to 5 minutes as in Yin Yoga.
Thereby pushing and expanding the boundaries of your flexibility, without diminishing the relaxation component. More of what actually works, and feels good, and less redundant activity that gets the hearts pounding.
Less truly is more. After all, it is the end of a long week, Friday night. If you want to get your heart pounding there are plenty of other classes you can take, like Abs, Weight Lifting, Spin.
Significant improvement in flexibility manifests itself. And a lowering of blood pressure. Yoga is also about teaching your body to literally unwind. And that involves getting the mind in the right place too.
Last week’s theme was thinking “outside the box.” Come see what the theme is this Friday,
