The Accountability Program isn’t for people new to the game. It’s for those of you already working out regularly. Who have had
personal trainers in the past.
Approximately once a month you come to me. I evaluate your conditioning: take your weight, body-fat percentage, waist and other measurements, put a heart-rate monitor on you and test the strength and endurance of your heart .
The session starts out as a fitness evaluation. But morphs into the designated workout program you’ll be doing for the next month. It targets your highest priority.
Whether it be weight-loss, fixing physical issues such as backs and knees, eradicating saddle-bags, giving yourself real girth in just the right places. For health, and for vanity.
These are the 3 pillars of any balanced workout regime: Abs, Yoga, Heavy Lifting. Cardio is a 4th pillar.
Panacea Studio thrives not by copying the classes already provided by most gyms. But by distinguishing itself.
You won’t find a serious Abs Class anywhere. You only find classes that touch on Abs superficially. Not a tough hour-and-15-minute regime of planks, abs roller, weights-enhanced crunches, core-orientated cardio, isometrics, and 3 sets of squats.
You definitely won’t find anything like Heavy Lifting. 6 sets of squats, 6 sets of bench press. It’s addictive, and dramatically impact-ful.
Even our Yoga has unique qualities not available elsewhere. Yogic Stretching Drills puts a prowerful twist on the standard fare. And Ian, who is with us this Friday, always presents a rich and varied blend of his own making.
Getting there is half the battle. Three-quarters, even.
That’s why the sweaty friendships you forge in the workout-trenches are so meaningful. You’re not only doing a positive thing for yourself, but for everyone else in the room.
I appreciate the custom in yoga of putting your hands together in prayer afterwards, thanking yourself for the love and kindness you’ve just given your body ,and thanking the people around you for sharing the moment.
And saying, namaste. Which means something along the lines of, the divine light in me sees the divine light in you. Having the camaraderie, and often sharing a laugh or two, makes it easier to get out the house for a class. Even in the deepest darkest depths of winter.
Affirming life, is a high honour. And for me it’s mixing business with pleasure.
See you all at Friday Night Yoga, Saturday Abs, and/or Heavy Lifting Tuesdays. Ciao, Pietro
Get that athletic appearance the fast way, tonight at Heavy Lifting Tuesdays. There is no other class like this anywhere. It’s safe and effective, and the next best thing to personal training.
Decompress with Ian and the rest of us, at Friday Night Yoga. Ian brings talent and a great depth of knowledge and experience to the table. Always something fresh and original in his program. And he lures you in with his calming disposition.
Who isn’t concerned about belly fat? If you’re not, you probably should be. See you at Sat Abs.
