Continuity & Change – A Beautiful Mystery

Your workout needs both continuity and change. Finding the right balance creates the magic.

Everyone has a different appetite for change. And without continuity there is no tangible way to measure improvement.

Personalizing a program means focusing on specific areas until your priorities naturally shift. Tweaking form, eliminating redundancy, adapting exercise combinations to individual tendencies and quirks, fixing and working around injuries; spotlighting priorities and identifying propensities are used to accelerate overall efficiency.

The best exercises are invented. Not copied off the internet. Because individual foibles are taken into account. The  body is a beautiful mystery. It doesn’t lie. But a personal trainer is dealing with the rhythms of the mind as well as the body.

To get the most out of it, enjoy the process. Being positive works best, and explaining the mechanics clearly. Creating a positive atmosphere is just better. Don’t nitpick. And be encouraging when a person gets it and is doing it right. Be motivating.

For the uninitiated, personal training is a revelation. It doesn’t matter a bit you know nothing. You still benefit from a vast amount of experience. For the initiated, the experience of working out is elevated to a whole new altitude. It can make you dizzy.

Get your butt out here! Ciao, Pietro

Unspoken Passion

This is sooo NOT us!! ;)

Running, spinning, skating, almost all forms of cardio takes weight off the face first. Which is a good thing. You may find yourself looking a bit gaunt though, even wrinkly. And yet your tummy isn’t going down.

Abs work directly reduces swelling in the mid-section without aging the face. It burns calories while massaging the organs of the underbelly. The liver, the kidneys, the intestines, become bloated and deformed from alcohol and way too much meat and carbs.

Ab work returns them to their youthful suppleness. Much of the reduction in the belly comes from reducing the size of the organs, literally. The pregnant-looking gut, firm to the touch, may be the reflection of a leathery liver the size of a football. Or cruelly impacted bowels.

The fitness industry still hasn’t quite connected the dots. Nor are the benefits of core work on longevity even remotely understood. This is like a dark mysterious continent yet to be discovered. The rush will come.

At Panacea Studio, we’re ahead of the curve.

Abs is back this Saturday. See you there!

Ciao, Pietro
